After making some of the biggest moves this off season, the Los Angeles Lakers are the favorite to be one of the two teams fighting for an NBA title in June.
A Lakers-Miami Heat finals is the most expected likely scenario, and Miami power forward Chris Bosh has taken note to how talented the Lakers have gotten.
Bosh and the Heat are coming off an NBA championship, and though he acknowledges the new Lakers talent he believes that may only be on paper.
"The Lakers, I think, right now, I mean on paper, they probably have the best team in the West and probably the league right now," Bosh said. "On paper. I'm saying on paper. But it's a lot, a lot, it's a long season. And the best team always isn't the one who starts out the season as the best team."
For example take when Miami first formed the "Big Three" of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Bosh, each player's individual success made them instant favorites for a title victory in their first year. Though they were the best team on paper, they didn't win their first championship as a trio until two years after their unison in Miami.
Even though the Lakers starting five will consist of Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace and Steve Nash, nothing is guaranteed in the NBA.
