Andy Murray continues seeking his first Major title and his journey will begin Monday at the Tennis 2012 U.S. Open against Alex Bogmolov Jr. of Russia.

Great Britain's' Murray has been on a roll in the past couple of Grand Slam tournaments and is coming off of an Olympic 2012 gold medal and silver medal performance.

Murray has being to the semifinals of 13 out of the last 17 Grand Slam tournaments. He has eight consecutive appearances in a Grand Slam tournament dating back to the 2011 Australian Open where he was the runner-up. Murray was a semifinalist at the 2011 French Open, at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. He was also a semifinalist at the 2012 Australian Open. He was a quarterfinalist at the 2012 French Open.

Murray knocked on histories door at the 2012 Wimbledon as the runner-up where he lost to Roger Federer in four sets. It was an emotional experience for Murray.

Though not as meaningful, from a personal standpoint, as winning in front of the home crowd at Wimbledon, Murray still has the opportunity to capture his first Grand Slam title at the 2012 U.S. Open.

Murray will hit Arthur Ashe Stadium after Petra Martic and the defending 2011 U.S. Open champion, Samanth Stosur (7), finish their match. Murray will hit the court at 1 p.m.
