Miami Dolphins Rumors: Michael Crabtree, Greg Jennings Free Agent WR Options With DeVante Parker, Todd Gurley Draft Targets for Ryan Tannehill?

The Miami Dolphins have been active this offseason in free agency and they could look at players like Michael Crabtree, Greg Jennings or Hakeem Nicks as the draft approaches, as the team has a need at wide receiver and this comes as players like DeVante Parker, Todd Gurley and Kevin White could be potential draft targets to join Ryan Tannehill.

The Dolphins missed the playoffs again last season, but they have Ryan Tannehill coming off of his best season and they expect him to continue improving. The team added Ndamukong Suh on a massive contract and that should help improve the defense and the Dolphins also signed Jordan Cameron. The team lost a solid target on offense in Charles Clay, but the money the Bills signed him to was just too much for the Dolphins.

The team now may look at adding a veteran wide receiver, but the Palm Beach Post reports that the Dolphins may wait until after the draft to do so. James Walker at ESPN.com reported that the team met with Michael Crabtree for a free agent visit and they also have looked at Greg Jennings as a potential option. If those players get signed, names like Hakeem Nicks, Reggie Wayne or Denarius Moore could be low cost options on the market.

The Dolphins also have the chance to add a nice offensive piece in the draft, as the class this year is deep at a number of positions. The Dolphins may look at a running back or a wide receiver and names like Amari Cooper, Kevin White, DeVante Parker, Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon have come up as potential targets. According to ESPN.com, the team hosted Parker for a pre-draft visit and the team has also had reported interest in Gurley.

Parker is a speedy player and he has also had interest from the Cleveland Browns. The Dolphins pick at number 14 in the first round and they should have some options at that pick. Cooper is not expected to get out of the top 10, while White may drop a bit and that could leave him as an option for Miami. Gurley is coming off of an injury, but he is considered to be the top running back coming out. White had over 100 catches and 10 touchdowns last season for West Virginia and he put up a great 40-yard dash time at the NFL combine.

Tannehill is coming off of his best season after passing for a career high 27 touchdowns and 4045 yards last year and there has been plenty of turnover on offense already. The team has Jarvis Landry coming back after a strong rookie season, but the team traded away Mike Wallace and let go of Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson this offseason.

The team added Kenny Stills in a trade and they likely will add more for depth. Crabtree could be a solid option, as he is coming off of his first full season since tearing his ACL and could be fairly cheap on the market. Jennings was released by the Vikings and he has had reported interest from the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
