The No. 5 ranked Men's Singles Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was eliminated by Martin Klizan, the unranked Slovakian who is 23-years-old.
Klizan won in four sets 6-4, 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 as he surprised everybody with a dominant performance over the animated and favored Tsonga.
Some would say Tsonga dropped the match without putting much effort and questions of Tsonga's fire hydrant incident prior to the Open were a cause for concern.
Klizan jumped out on top quickly in the first set, but the world thought everything was back to number after Tsonga won the second set 6-1.
However, Tsonga could not build any momentum following this victory and Klizan placed him up against the wall after taking the third set 6-1 in just 24 minutes.
Tsonga lost the match on a forearm that fell outside of the baseline and Klizan ebgan his celebration.
Andy Murray is surely excited and should take advantage of Tsonga's removal from competition since they were prognosticated to face off in the quarterfinals at the U.S. Open.
Jeremy Chardy (32) of France can avenge his fellow Frenchman's lose but will have to get past Matthew Ebden in order to face Klizan.
With the win, Klizan advanced to the third round of action.
