Woods comes in after taking a break from golf following his withdrawal from a tournament in early February and now he is looking for have a solid performance. McIlroy comes in as the best player in the world and he is one of the favorites and will have plenty of attention at Augusta. Early on in the day with just about half the field in action, Russell Henley has a lead with Justin Rose at three strokes under.

Mickelson and Rory McIlroy are in the same group together, while Tiger Woods will tee off in the afternoon on Thursday for the first round. Watson had a couple early birdies to get started and all the attention in the afternoon will be on Woods. Mickelson comes in having won five majors in his career and he has won the Masters three times and he comes in after winning it last in 2010 and he could be one of the favorites with a good start. Mickelson likely wants to at least make the cut, as he did not do that last year.

McIlroy comes in with some momentum and last year he was in the top 10 at Augusta. McIlroy had a lead here in 2011 before blowing it on the final day and he comes in after winning the U.S. Open, British Open and two PGA Championship titles. Watson won last year by three shots over Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt and he always is a fun player to watch.

Spieth is a young player and one of the rising stars and he comes in after finishing in second place last year. Spieth had his chances last year in his first start and now he gets the chance to do it again and he is playing in one of the better groups over the first two days. Woods returns after a long layoff and he wants to make it to the weekend.
