Did Aaron Hernandez Girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins Know About Murder? Testimony Hurt Star In Shooting Verdict, Fiance Lied To Jury?

Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of first degree murder in the shooting death of Odin Lloyd and was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday and now his girlfriend and fiance Shayanna Jenkins faces an uncertain future and it comes as she may have been lying about what she knew about the shooting and what she did with crucial evidence in the case.

According to ESPN.com law analyst Michael McCann, jurors said that part of the testimony from Jenkins did not appear to be reasonable, including her giving money to one of the alleged accomplices on orders of Hernandez. Jenkins was also seen on video taking something out of the house, but she said she did not know what was in it or what she did with it. Jurors were skeptical and she also was previously accused of perjury during the grand jury process.

After the sentencing, jurors spoke to the media and some said that the testimony of Robert Kraft and of Jenkins were crucial in helping them come to their decision. Jenkins' testimony was very tough, as she said she disposed of a box that may or may not have contained the murder weapon and did not remember where she put it. Kraft also testified that Hernandez told him he was innocent because he was "in the club" that night. Jurors said that both offered testimony crucial to their decision making process.

Here is some other information on the case, Jenkins and past issues involving Hernandez and the murder trial.

Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez is currently behind bars and is sentecned life in prison for the death of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. With the shocking news more questions have come out about his past and his time playing with the Patriots, including what his girlfriend and fiance Shayanna Jenkins knew about his violent life.

According to ESPN.com, Hernandez and Jenkins have known each other since high school and are currently engaged to be married while living at the North Attleboro home where the former Patriots star was arrested. The couple has an eight-month-old child that was born on November 6, 2012, which happens to be the same birthday as Hernandez. The two went to high school at Bristol Central High together where Jenkins' sister Shanea also went to school. Her sister was dating Odin Lloyd when he was killed and the four knew each other and often made plans together.

The Boston Globe has reported that Hernandez and Lloyd knew each other for two years and now more questions have come up about the tight ends past, including whether he was involved in a double murder last year in Boston. The crime occurred on the night of July 16 in downtown Boston after 2 AM at an intersection, resulting in the deaths of Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu, a case that remains unsolved. Police are investigating a possible connection with Hernandez, as he was at the club the men were at earlier in the night and he may have had an altercation with their group.

Police said that a gray or silver SUV with Rhode Island plates was at the scene and last week the authorities impounded a similar car that was rented by Hernandez. The Boston Globe also reported that a motive behind the killing of Lloyd could have been that he had information about the previous double murder.
