The New Orleans Pelicans and Golden State Warriors are playing live for the NBA playoffs first round on Monday and the Game 2 matchup starts at 10:30 pm ET and will be on TNT from TV and streaming online and on the radio as Steph Curry tries to take down Anthony Davis for a 2-0 lead in the series before Game 3 shifts to Louisiana.
The Warriors have been basically unbeatable at home this season and while the Pelicans put up a fight in Game 1, they couldn't pull the upset. The Warriors have won 19 straight games at home and they have only lost twice at their arena this year and that makes it tough for New Orleans. Davis had a strong playoff debut with 35 points and seven rebounds and now he will try and get things going again on Monday night.
The Warriors won the game on Saturday after building a considerable lead, but the Pelicans cut things towards the end before Golden State secured the victory. Draymond Green was one of the strong points for the Warriors and Steph Curry had 34 points in the game. Green had a double double while putting up 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists and Andrew Bogut also contributed.
The Warriors come into the NBA playoffs as the favorites in the west after having a great regular season and now the crowd at home should be ever louder than usual. Monty Williams made some comments about the noise at Oracle Arena and that likely will get things going even louder on Monday and that will only motivate the team more.
