Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rumors: Mike Glennon Trade Option For Browns, Bills with Jameis Winston Starter? Kenny Bell Sleeper Draft Pick

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may look at a Mike Glennon trade this offseason after taking Jameis Winston in the draft, as he is expected to start in Week 1 against Marcus Mariota and teams like the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills or NY Jets could be interested and this comes as the Bucs have drafted a potential sleeper star in Kenny Bell out of Nebraska.

The Buccaneers were expected to take Winston number one and now he likely will come in as the starter for the Buccaneers. The team did not take Winston to give him a clipboard and while that doesn't mean Glennon will definitely be traded, the Bucs likely will look into making a deal. Glennon was drafted by the previous regime and while he has shown some potential, this is Winston's team now and Lovie Smith could look at using a veteran as a backup.

According to ESPN.com, the Buccaneers had some interest in Glennon heading into the draft, including from the Cleveland Browns, but the team did not get close to dealing him during the event. According to ESPN Bucs reporter Pat Yasinskas, if Glennon is traded this offseason, it's likely that it would be after the NFL draft and teams like the Browns, Jets or Bills could be interested.

The Jets just took Bryce Petty, so they are likely out of looking at Glennon, but the Browns could look at making a move again. According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, the Browns "sniffed around" on Glennon this offseason and after not taking a top quarterback in the draft, they could look at adding Glennon to the mix with Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel. Roy Cummings on Twitter reports that the team did not get any calls during the draft about Glennon.

The team has Winston as the starter and they have brought in some new weapons, including Kenny Bell in the draft. Vincent Jackson is a top wideout and Mike Evans showed last season that he can be a great player. The Bucs have something special at wide receiver this year and that could make things much easier for Winston as he transitions into the NFL.

Bell put up over 180 catches for 2689 yards at Nebraska during his four year career and he had 21 touchdowns during that time, including six last season. Making Bell more impressive is the fact that the Huskers are traditionally a running team and that he played with subpar quarterbacks for his entire college career. The team also added Kaelin Clay from Utah in the sixth round and he helps with depth as well.

The Buccaneers also added Joey Iosefa at running back from Hawaii in the seventh round of the draft. The Bucs are pretty set with depth at running back, as they have Charles Sims, Doug Martin, Bobby Rainey and Mike James on the roster already. A seventh round pick likely won't make too much of an impact, but Martin has been mentioned in trader rumors before and he could come up again. This could give Smith the chance to make a move if he wants during the season or before it starts.
