Chelsea and Liverpool are playing live on the English Premier League schedule on Sunday and the match from Stamford Bridge starts at 11 am on the NBC Sports Network and NBCSN Live Extra website as the Reds try and stay near the top four on the EPL table.
Chelsea has clinched the top spot on the Barclays EPL table after winning last week against Crystal Palace and now they want to finish strong. Manchester United is rooting for Chelsea to keep Liverpool back and they are hoping to finish in the top four this year.
The top four will be into the Champions League next year and Chelsea has already clinched a spot after taking the trophy. Chelsea has been leading the Premier League all season and they have the second most goals scored and the best goal differential in the Barclays. Mario Balotelli was training this week and he could be in the mix to play, while Daniel Sturridge will be out and miss the last bit of the season.
Chelsea has been the most consistent team in the EPL this season and they come in with the title already clinched. Jose Mourinho has won the title twice with the Blues and this is the second time he has done it without winning the manager of the month award. Chelsea may not have Diego Costa in the lineup and they will also have Oscar out and the team is hoping to finish things off on the top spot.
Liverpool had a slow start to the season and now they are in position to at least get close to the top four, which looked like something that would not even come close to happening midway through the season. Last year the team finished second after nearly winning the title over Manchester city and now they are trying to clinch a top five finish.
Chelsea has gotten some fantastic play from Diego Costa this season and he may be done for the season but he has played very well and is one of the reasons why the team is in first place.
