AL Wild Card Standings: Angels Inch Closer, Rays and Tigers Take A Step Back

The AL Wild Card continues to flip flop. Over the weekend, the Los Angeles Angels took over the third place spot in AL Wild Card as the Tampa Bay Rays struggled to win the final two games at Yankees Stadium.

The Angles took two out of three from the Kansas City Royals and the Rays lost two out of three to the Yankees, moving the Rays five games back in the AL East and four games back from the second place spot in the Wild Card.

The Angles are 2.5 games back from the Baltimore Orioles who defeated their AL West foes, the Oakland Athletics.

The O's took two out of three from the A's and because of that one loss they fell behind the Yankees one game in the AL East.

With a loss, the Detroit Tigers fell back 4.5 games in the Wild Card and two behind the White Sox.

Here is what the standings look like after Sunday night. Records, games back, elimination games and future games are posted.
