Los Angeles Lakers Rumors 2012: Clippers Forward Grant Hill Strongly Disagrees With Steve Nash Trade To The Lakers

Several years ago the Phoenix Suns were one of the best teams in the NBA and leading the charge was current Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash.

During his stay with the Suns, Nash was named the MVP twice and gave the franchise some of its best years. Even when the Suns became irrelevant, Nash stayed on the team.

In recent years, Nash teamed up with Grant Hill and they formed a nice tandem as both had very productive season with the Suns last year.

Though Hill has also made the move from Phoenix for Los Angeles, now being with the Clippers, he does not approve of Nash's trade to the Lakers, a division rival of the Suns.

"That's like transferring from Duke and going to Carolina."

Being a former Duke Blue Devil, Hill seems to find the Lakers-Suns rivalry to be on the same level as Duke and North Carolina.

Hill was a Duke legend and did some great things for that institution. He is a player that understands loyalty, but that doesn't mean Nash doesn't.

Although the Suns had to fight just to make it to the playoffs, Nash kept a smile on his face and there was never a time he complained about the team's performance. He never publicly criticized his teammates and there were never times when he clashed with the front office.

To Nash's credit he really did everything he could for the Suns. Nash made the team relevant again, propelling them to a playoff contending team.

With everything he did it's only right that the Suns reward the future Hall of Famer with an opportunity to contend with a championship caliber team.
