Andre Brown came in as Ahmad Bradshaw's replacement on Sunday as the No. 1 back left the game with a neck injury. Bradshaw will be out for tonight's game and Brown will receive most of the snaps.
He came on to the field, took 13 snaps, rushed for 71 yards and scored a touchdown. Brown also finished the game with two catches and 19 yards.
Prior to this game Brown had two rushing attempts, which totaled to -1 yards as a Denver Bronco. He bounced around from the Indianapolis Colts, Broncos, Panthers and Washington Redskis all in 2010.
He stepped on to the field and took full advantage of his opportunity last Sunday.
With the Carolina Panthers having one of the worst rushing defenses in the league giving up 146 yards on the ground per game look for the Giants to try running more than usual.
Yes, the Giants are a passing team, but that would be the obvious option. Eli Manning's passing skills are beyond respectable as year after year he steps up his game since the Giants' running game diiminishes season every season.
Imagine how deadly Manning could be when the play action becomes a viable option that leaves defenses completely on their heels.
The Giants will try to run Brown early in the game. If he succeeds, then they will stick to him. If Brown gives Tom Coughlin any reason to second guess his abilities, then expect David Wilson, the fumbling rookie, to get a lot more snaps than Week 1 and 2.
If Brown establishes the run early, then he will stay in the game and rush for over 100 yards with a touchdown.
