Okay, so Andrew Luck only has two games under his belt, so a career day is a bit of an exaggeration, but the point is that if you have Luck on your fantasy team chances are that you might want to start him.
The fact that they are playing the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend is a reason to start the QB. So far in the season, the Jaguars have faced two quarterbacks which have not packed the talents of Luck, the 2012 No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
Do not be fooled by the Jaguars' passing yards allowed. The Houston Texans beat them with the run, so there was no need to throw for TDs.
Luck threw for 309 in his first career NFL start against the Chicago Bears, a team whose defense is better than the Jaguars'.
Last week, Luck proved that when he does not throw interceptions, he can guide the team to victory. He went for 224 yards and two touchdowns after completing 20/31 passes.
One thing Luck should keep in mind going into Sunday's game against the Jaguars is that they have yet to intercept anybody. Want to build up Luck's confidence a bit more? The Jaguars's defensive line has only two sacks this season, which means time for Luck at the pocket.
The Colts did a slightly better job protecting Luck against the Minnesota Vikings. After the rookie QB was sacked three times against the Bears, Luck was only sacked twice against the Vikings.
More good news for the Colts' quarterback, he might have another target with Austin Collie participating in practice and going from 'Doubtful' in Week 2 to 'Probable' in Week 3.
Luck should take advantage of his matchup with a weaker opponent. After their Week 4 Bye, they face the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants. Should be tough weeks for fantasy owners, Luck and the Colts.
