The New York Jets roll into Miami where they will play the Dolphins in an AFC East clash. The action takes off at 1 p.m. ET.
Currently, the NFC East is in a four-way tie as all teams are sporting a 1-1 record.
The Dolphins surprised many as the defeated the Oakland Raiders 35-13. Reggie Bush rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns last Sunday, powering the Dolphins' charge. It was a dynamic performance, which backed up Ryan Tannehill's first victory as a quarterback in the NFL.
Tannehill went 18/30 in that game with 200 yards passing. He threw for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown as well. The Dolphins have done a good job protecting their quarterback as Tannehill was only sacked once last week against the Raiders. In total, Tannehill has only been sacked four times.
For the Jets, they will try to bounce back from their Week 2 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If they expect to win today, they will need more than 138 yards from Mark Sanchez. He had a touchdown with no interception, but he only completed 10 of 27 passes against the Steelers' defense.
If Sanchez struggles, expect Tim Tebow to take a few more snaps in Week 3.
As shown above, the Jets' defense will have to put a stop to the Dolphins' running game. So far in the season, the Jets are giving an average of 130 yards on the ground per game.
Tannehill and Bush can rush for touchdowns once inside the Jets' five, so their defense will really have to step it up in this one.
