Liverpool Transfer Rumors and News: Raheem Sterling Swap For Theo Walcott With Arsenal Option? Reds Sign James Milner

Liverpool is coming into the summer after a tough season and with Raheem Sterling's situation still up in the air, the club may look at making a transfer move with Sterling heading to Arsenal for Theo Walcott and this comes as the team has added James Milner in a free transfer move from Manchester City.

Liverpool has Brendan Rodgers looking to reshape the team, as they are poised to lose Sterling, who is having a contract issue, while Steven Gerrard is heading to the MLS. According to ESPN FC, courses have reported that the Reds and Arsenal have talked about a deal with Sterling and it would include Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs coming over from the Gunners.

Sterling is looking for a major raise and this has been an issue in the media all year for the club, as Sterling reportedly ejected an extension from the team that offered him a £100,000-a-week paycheck. Sterling reportedly is looking for more and according to This is Anfield, Sterling is going to have suitors from Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich as well as Real Madrid.

The team pushed Luis Suarez out last year and that really hurt the team overall, as it took them until the second half in the EPL to really get back into things. The team had trouble scoring early in the season and the goal numbers were down across the board. Moving Sterling is tough, as the star is just 20 years old and has been a standout for the team in the past. Walcott has the potential to give the team some scoring, as he had 15 goals in 24 starts in the league, but that could be tough for fans to swallow.

Liverpool reported on their team website this past week that they have signed a deal with Milner. The English player is coming over on July 1 in a transfer that is a free transfer move, as his deal with city runs out at that time. Milner is 29-years-old and is a midfielder and he could give the team a strong option at that position moving forward. Milner has won titles with Man City and the team has also won an FA Cup with him on the roster.

Milner came to Man city after a $43 million move from Aston Villa and now he has the chance to play for the Reds and he is a strong player when things get tough. Milner can give the team some spark in the middle and he comes in after playing in 47 games over the year and he scored eight times with Man City, including seven times in Premier League play.
