Giants vs. Eagles: LeSean McCoy Says Osi Umenyiora Looks Like Ballerina

LeSean McCoy and Osi Umeyiora continue their beef as the running back recently called the Giants' lineman a "ballerina."

"Osi to be honest, he is a good player. I think he thinks that he is better than what he really is. I think he is a ballerina in a Giants uniform. Other than that, that is all I got to say about Osi."

So this is how the Philadelphia Eagles bounce back from an embarassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals?

McCoy had his worst game of the season in Week 3, taking 13 carries for 70 yards and no touchdowns. Umenyiora on the other hand has had a fairly quiet season with the Giants. He finally picked up his first sack of the season against the Carolina Panthers last Thursday.

Since 2005, Umenyiora has been one of the top pass rushers in the league. That season he had 14.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. In 2019 he forced 10 fumbles (career high) and had 11.5 sacks.

McCoy said last year that Umenyiora was the third-best pass rusher in the Giants' mighty defensive line. That by no means should be considered an offense. Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck are great company.

McCoy and Umenyiora have beefed for a few years, but everything escalated when Umenyiora wished McCoy a "Happy Mother's Day" via Twitter. McCoy did not reply because he was going through contract negotiations with the Eagles and was advised not to respond.

Last Summer, McCoy referred to Umenyiora as "soft" and "overrated" and Umenyiora responded by calling him "Lady Gaga" and referred to McCoy as "she."

However, on this response, Umenyiora took the high road, "He is probably right. I might be a ballerina in a Giants uniform. I am lucky that I got the contract, I'm lucky to be playing 10 years in the league, won Super Bowls, all that is pure luck. I am happy for him. Im happy that he got his contract and I am happy that everything is working for him in Philadelphia."

Umenyiora sounds relaxed, but let's see how things get on the field as the New York Giants will go into Philadelphia to face the Eagles on Sunday Night Football's match of Week 4.
