NBA Free Agent Rumors: Dwyane Wade, Greg Monroe Options For NY Knicks, Carmelo Anthony? Royce White Close To LA Clippers Deal

The NY Knicks are expected to be active in free agency this offseason and the team could target players like Rajon Rondo, Greg Monroe and LaMarcus Aldridge on the market along with Dwyane Wade if he opts out of his deal with the Miami Heat and this comes as the LA Clippers ar close to getting Royce White on an NBA Summer League commitment.

The Knicks are expected to have over $25 million in camp space to spend this summer and there is a chance that Phil Jackson could go after multiple big names. According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Knicks are the "favorites" for Greg Monroe and the team is also expected to look at Rajon Rondo and Brandon Knight as potential options. The Knicks also have the fourth pick in the draft and names like Trey Lyles, Emmanuel Mudiay and Justise Winslow have been connected to the team heading towards the draft.

The Knicks also could go after Dwyane Wade if he hits the market, but that is an unlikely move for Wade, even with his relationship to Carmelo Anthony. According to the Miami Herald, Wade is looking for more money than the Heat want to give, as they team does not want to be hamstrung on the cap with Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside's money coming in the future. Wade has taken less money multiple times from Miami to help the team and now he is looking for the tea to give back a bit as he signs his final "big money" contract.

The Knicks finished with the second worst record in the league, but they got jumped in the lottery by the Lakers and ended up fourth behind the Sixers. The Knicks are hoping they can lure some free agents to play alongside Carmelo Anthony and they also have the chance to add a top prospect with the fourth pick. Winslow and Lyles have been reportedly strong targets for the Knicks, while Emmanuel Mudiay has scheduled a workout.

The LA Clippers are reportedly close to bringing in Royce White on a deal to play for their NBA Summer League team. According to Shams Charania of RealGM, White is "closing on a commitment" to play for the Clippers in the July Summer League and it comes after the former first round pick previously was with the Kings. White was a first round pick for the Rockets in 2012, but he has not been able to consistently get his career going while dealing with an anxiety disorder.

White had reported interest from the Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans along with the Clippers and sources said that "gained trust" while talking with the from office of LA. Pro Basketball Talk reports that White is only committing to playing in the summer league and that he wants to wait to sign a free agent deal to " showcase himself for the NBA's other 29 teams."
