----- We are about 10 minutes from the start of this game-----

Starting lineups coming soon

The Oakland Athletics face the Texas Rangers in the third game of their four-game series.

Last night, the Athletics defeated the Rangers 9-3  as Stephen Drew lead the way with a 4-5 game. Today the game starts at 2:05 p.m. ET/11:05 a.m. PT.

The Athletics are just three games back after winning the last two games of the series. They dropped the first game to the Rangers, but came back to take Game 2 in extra innings and won last night.

The Rangers will have to win today in order to avoid their three-game lead dropping to just two. In fact, the Rangers have to win today in order to give themselves more breathing room.

The A's and Rangers hook up for another three-game series in their final series of the season.

Nobody expected the A's to still be in contention. Their young pitching has done it for them and despite their hitting having the most strikeouts in American League history, they are proving to be great situational hitters. Last night they did not need a home run to drive in their nine runs.

The A's pitching has to be careful as the Rangers possess one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball.
