The New York Giants are coming out of minicamp with numerous questions ahead of training camp, as Odell Beckham has been out of action with a hamstring injury and he skipped out on a press conference after practice on Thursday and this comes as Victor Cruz is hoping to avoid the PUP list, while the team and JPP still have not agreed on a contract after being hit with the franchise tag.
Beckham skipped out on a media session following the end of minicamp and that came after he sat out of practices with a hamstring issue. Cruz is looking to come into training camp off of the PUP list and Beckham could be held out with his injury. The contract for Pierre-Paul could be on the horizon and right now there is a chance he could end up signing the one year tender over a long term deal.

Ralph Vacchiano was at Giants minicamp on Tuesday and he reported that Beckham was doing running on the side while the team was in workouts. Charles Robinson was also at the practice and he reported that Beckham was doing "light sprint work" while his teammates were in positional drills. The Giants had a number of players on the sidelines for the start of minicamp, including Beckham, Will Beatty, Larry Donnell and Cruz. Vacchiano reported that Beckham is not doing any tough drills and that he will not be participating in minicamp.
Last season Beckham won rookie of the year after making 91 catches for 1305 yards and 12 touchdowns and that came in just 12 games played. Beckham missed four games and all of offseason workouts last year and he was able to pick up on the offense quickly. Cruz is coming back from a serious injury and he said in OTA workouts to the media that he was "80 percent" recovered from his patellar tear. Cruz is hoping to be ready for training camp and Week 1 of the season, while Eli Manning, Ben McAdoo and Giants fans are salivating at the thought of Cruz and Beckham healthy together.
According to the New York Daily News, Beckham is dealing with a right hamstring issue and he is going to be working out on the side and out of practice on his own and not on the field with his teammates until he is 100 percent. Donnell sat out for part of OTA workouts and he is expected to be healthy by the time training camp starts. Beatty is not going to be healthy, as Pro Football Talk reports that he will be out for at least five months after suffering a torn pectoral muscle this offseason.
