Victor Cruz News: Giants' Receiver Has Comeback for Roddy White Comments

"I got a ring back at home." That was Victory Cruz's reply to Roddy White's comments in an interview with Michael Irvin that will are in "GameDay Morning" on Sunday.

White believes he and Julio Jones are the best receiver duo in the league. Their numbers do not completely do them justice, but White had further words for New York Giants' receiver Victor Cruz.

"Victor Cruz is a lot more of a slot receiver. The big boys play on the outside," White said.

White, who is Matt Ryan's No. 1 target in Atlanta, might have a point as a bulk of Cruz's success has come when lining up as a slot receiver. However, the production that Cruz had in 2011 with the Giants was good for a record setting season and, as he mentioned above, a championship ring.

Cruz simply brushed White off. "I couldn't care less about what anybody else has to say," Cruz told The Star-Ledger. "I don't care about what Roddy White has to say."

Cruz will have to step his game up for the Giants now that Hakeem Nicks is out on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. So far in the season, Cruz is seventh in the league in receiving yards with 279 yards.

Ironically, Cruz' biggest play of the year came on an 80-yarder from Eli Manning for a touchdown and it was while working the outside.

You be the judge, Roddy White and Julio Jones over Cruz and Nicks?

Duo Stats

Cruz and Nicks:  37 Receptions, 516 Yards, 2 TDs

White and Jones: 34 Receptions, 433 Yards, 4 TDs.
