The NBA free agent market has payers like Carlos Boozer, Amar'e Stoudemire, Luis Scola, Chris Copeland, Jason Terry, Tyler Hansbrough, Mo Williams, Reggie Evans, JR Smith, Alan Anderson, Dorrell Wright and Jeremy Lin available after the big names have signed and some of those players could be targets for the NY Knicks, Clippers, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and LA Lakers moving forward this summer.
The big names have signed with LaMarcus Aldridge and DeAndre Jordan agreeing with the spurs and Mavericks and that leaves the mid-level players to get deals done. According to Marc Stein at ESPN.com, the Lakers and Mavericks are trying to work a sign and trade for Jeremy Lin. Lin reportedly will take a discount to play in Dallas, as he would like to reunite with Chandler Parsons after their time together in Houston.
UPDATE: Mo Williams has signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two year deal, according to ESPN. Check here for more on the Cavs offseason moves, potential trades and signings. Check here for details on the Williams deal. UPDATE: Boozer reportedly has interest from the Mavericks, Clippers and Raptors, per Chris Broussard ESPN.
The Rockets went after LaMarcus Aldridge and Jordan along with Rajon Rondo, but they opted to bring back Patrick Beverley. The team could look for some forward depth, as names like Carlos Boozer, Scola and Copeland could be options on the market. Jordan Hill also could be a fit, while Tyler Hansbrough is another cheap depth option. Matthew Dellavedova is still on the market, but he is expected to come back to the Cavaliers this offseason.
The Knicks have been active this offseason and while they have missed out on the big names, they have done solid, bringing in Robin Lopez, Arron Afflalo and Derrick Williams. Williams should provide some depth off the bench, while Lopez is a defensive wizard and should help things inside. The team brought in Kristaps Porzingis in the draft and since he is an offensive player, Phil Jackson put a focus up front on defense in free agency. Afflalo also should be a nice fit in the triangle for Carmelo Anthony. Sources: Carlos Boozer is in on-going conversations with Clippers, Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Raptors, per ESPN.
Mo Williams, Gerald Green and JR Smith are offensive options on the market and Williams is a reported target for the Cavaliers. The Cavs are reportedly looking to trade for Joe Johnson and that could mean the end for Smith in Cleveland. Williams reportedly has interest in coming back to the Cavs, while Jason Terry or David West could be veteran options for the team.

Some other names on the market include guards like Austin Rivers, Andre Miller, Jameer Nelson, Norris Cole, Alexey Shved and Mo Williams. The Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, Mavericks and Rockets all could be interested in adding a guard, while the Knicks also may look for some depth at the position. The team has Jerian Grant coming in after the draft along with Jose Calderon from last year and the team would like to upgrade at point guard if they can.
The Lakers may have been in the mix, but now with D'Angelo Russell coming in with Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams signing, they don't need another guard now. The Lakers have made some solid moves overall and they could look at Stoudemire or Scola for depth if they stay on the market for a while. The team is agreeing to a trade with the Pacers for Roy Hibbert and that likely takes them out of the mix for DeMarcus Cousins after that was rumored about for a while this offseason.
