Wimbledon 2015 Results: Serena Williams Wins Title For ‘Serena Slam' Against Garbine Muguruza

Serena Williams won her sixth Wimbledon title on Saturday at the All England Club, defeating Garbine Muguruza of Spain 6-4, 6-4 in straight sets to complete a personal ‘Serena Slam' in holding all four Grand Slam title at the same time and she now has the chance for the calendar slam.

Williams won her 21st career Grand Slam singles title after winning on Saturday and continued a winning streak at majors that now stands at 28 matches. According to ESPN, Williams is the oldest woman to win a Grand Slam tournament at 33 years old and she goes into the US Open as the likely favorite on the women's side. Williams previously has won six championships at the US Open and Australian Open and now she has as many at Wimbledon. Williams also has won three French Open titles.

Williams had a tough draw through the tournament and won over her sister Venus Williams along with Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova, which was in the semifinals. Williams also had to play against Heather Watson in the third round and she had her home nation crowd behind her against Williams, who had to come back to defeat Watson.

"She refuses defeat. She refuses to lose," said Patrick Mouratoglou, Williams' coach, according to ESPN. "When she feels the taste of losing, she finds so much strength, and then she can raise her level."
