Reds vs. Giants Live Stream: Game 2 Starter Bumgarner Tries to Even NLDS for SF

The San Francisco Giants will try to even the NLDS on Sunday as they host the Cincinnati Reds at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT.

They will send Madison Bumgarner to the mound. The 23-year-old finished 2012 4-5 in his last 10 games with a 4.22 ERA.

At times, he looked dominant, but half the time in those starts he pitched around six innings and gave up at least four runs in those starts.

However, if there is any good news for the Giants for Game 2 it is that Bumgarner pitched a complete game shutout against the Reds back in June 28. He allowed one hit, walked two and struck out eight.

On the mound for the Reds is Bronson Arroyo. Flashbacks of 2004 immediately come to mind with Arroyo and Alex Rodriguez running to first base in Game 6 of the ALCS as the Red Sox battled to tie the series 3-3 and eventually won it in the next game after being down three games.

Arroyo pitched well towards the end of the season. He closed out the season 5-3 with a 3.12 ERA in his last 10 games.

For the Reds a victory means they take a 2-0 lead back home. For the Giants a win is almost necessary. They do not want to go to the Great American Ballpark down 0-2.

Also, if the Giants win today, the Reds rotation will be short since they do not know what Johnny Cueto's status is yet after leaving Game 1. They hope he can pitch Game 3.
