Reigning Western Conference Finals champions the Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Houston Rockets at 8:00 p.m. ET for preseason basketball action.
This will be the Rockets first preseason game, and will be the first game that will feature point guard Jeremy Lin in a Rockets uniform.
Lin, who was cut from the Rockets on the final day of training camp last season, became an international phenomenon during his time with the New York Knicks in a remarkable stretch last February, scoring at least 20 points in nine of 10 games.
Lin had a career high point game Feb. 10, when he scored 38 points and had seven assists in a 92-85 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
During the offseason, Lin received a deal worth $30 million from the Rockets, a deal in which the Knicks could not match.
The difference with Lin this year that differs from last year is job security, according to David Hinojosa of TheMonitor.com.
"There was a lot of uncertainty (last year)," Lin said. "It's a different feeling for sure knowing that I will be around for a little longer. It's given me a little more confidence to be a little more assertive and be a little more vocal and to make plays. That's been very key for me - to have that confidence behind leading."
