The Charlotte Bobcats host the New Orleans Hornets in their NBA preseason game taking place at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday evening.

The NBA's 2012 No. 1 draft pick will be in action as the Hornets play their third preseason game of the year. Anthony Davis will look to continue working on his game as he gets ready for his first season in the league.

He has chipped in 30 points in two games thus far, with a big game against the Bobcats just a two days ago on Tuesday.

Davis dropped 22 points going 9-18 from the floor, nine rebounds and a block in 30 minutes played.

Also trying to refine his game before the end of the season is another first round pick in the NBA draft, No. 2 overal to be specific, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

In two games for the Bobcats this preseason, Gilchrist has scored 22 points in 56 minutes played. He scored 12 in a losing effort to the Hornets on Tuesday.

Do not miss this matchup of up and coming, future NBA stars in the making.

Davis is coming off an Olympic gold effort in London as he was a late addition to the 2012 Team USA Basketball team. Even before taking a center court tipoff as a pro, Davis will come into the NBA as a highly decorated player winning an NCAA Basketball Championship and already in possession of an Olympic gold medal.
