The Toronto Blue Jays have traded for Troy Tulowitzki from the Colorado Rockies and the team gave up Jose Reyes and LaTroy Hawkins along with prospects and now the Blue Jays could go after pitching like Ian Kennedy, Cole Hamels, Mike Leake or David Price to try and make a playoff push.
Tulowitzki has years left on his contract and the Rockies made the deal after a couple years of rumors regarding the shortstop. According to Hardball Talk, the Rockies will get back Jeff Hoffman, a first round pick from last year, along with Miguel Castro and Jesus Tinoco along with Reyes and Hawkins. Tulo is hitting .300 with 12 home runs and 53 RBI this season and he gives the stacked Blue Jays offense even more to work with.
The team is now expected to go after a pitcher.
