Week 6 has already launched with the Steelers dropping their meeting to the Titans.
Looking at the schedule and not noticing your team in action this week? That means you can stay out later on Saturday night and not worry about waking up early on Sunday.
The following teams will enjoy a break in Week 6.
Chicago Bears
Just like you enjoy your rest, NFL players enjoy it too. In fact, their bodies need it. As the Chicago Bears hibernate in Week 6, however, the question is, will this weeks rest in anway cut off their momentum?
The Bears are 4-1 and winners of three straight. After suffering an embarassing defeat to the Green Bay Packers, the Bears are sitting atop of the NFC Central, tied with the Minnesota Vikings for first place.
They have embarrassed the competition allowing a total of 27 points to the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bears face the Detroit Lions in Week 7.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints really do not want a break. They earned their first win of the year on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. Drew Brees has the record for most consecutive games with a TD now, so the Saints can focus on just winning now. However, they are tied for last place in the NFC South with another team with a Week 6 Bye.
They play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7.
Carolina Panthers
The last time the Panthers won it was still officially summer. They have played two close games consecutively so their Week 6 Bye will allow them to rest their bodies and nerves. They face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Apparently the Jaguars were comforted with their Week 3 win against the Indianapolis Colts. They do not need a break, they need practice! They are at the bottom of the pile in the AFC South and currently have the worst offense in the NFL. Jaguars face the Oakland Raiders in Week 7.
