Steelers Fantasy Football Advice: Martavis Bryant or Markus Wheaton, Which is Best Receiver to Draft For Pittsburgh In 2015?

In a recent interview Ben Roethlisberger talked about how he wants the passing game to go this year. Despite many fantasy football guru's claiming Martavis Bryant to be the next breakout player on the Steelers Big Ben had a different idea. Roethlisberger stated

"I want that. I want him to have that pressure because ... when we're in two-wide receivers he's our No. 2 and we're asking him to play outside. When we go three wide receivers, we ask him to move inside. So he's playing multiple positions. I think he's doing an amazing job of it. He's such a good kid, hard worker and he wants to be great wherever he plays."

Markus Wheaton needs to play pretty well to unseat Martavis Bryant as this offenses spark plug but he might be on his way having an outstanding offseason according to Steeler's coaches. Wheaton was the number 2 wide receiver last year until he was replaced by Bryant.

Markus Wheaton: (Age: 24, Height 5'11, Weight: 182)

2 seasons:

Yards: 708

Receptions: 59

Touchdowns: 2

Martavis Bryant: (age: 23, height 6'4, Weight 211)

1 season

Yards: 549

Receptions: 26

Touchdowns: 8

Bryant has the clear edge in stats as well as a nose for the end zone. He has had a minor procedure done on his elbow and will miss some training camp, but that should not affect him by the time the regular season rolls round. Bryant has also added 20 pounds of muscle in the offseason which can only help his chances in the red zone.
