The St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants will continue their NLCS matchup with Game 2 on Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The defending World Series champions took Game 1 with an early 6-0 cushion, that led to the eventual 6-4 score.
Cardinals' pitcher Chris Carpenter will get the start at the mound for Monday's matchup.
Carpenter is making just his fifth start of 2012 after missing the majority of the season with a right shoulder injury. He didn't face the Giants this season, but he's 4-1 lifetime against them with a 3.57 ERA in eight starts. At AT&T Park, he's made just two starts, winning both but allowing a total of six runs in 12 2/3 innings.
The Giants, in the meanwhile, will start pitcher Ryan Vogelsong at the mound.
In his only game against the Cardinals this season, Vogelsong posted one of his best performances of the season, holding the Cardinals to just three hits in seven innings in a win at Busch Stadium on Aug. 8.
Though he's had a good game against the Cardinals, in 16 appearances and six starts this season, he's only 2-4 with a 6.51 ERA.
