The Dallas Mavericks host potential Western Conference rival, Houston Rockets, in their third NBA Preseason game of the year.
The Mavericks are 1-1 so far in these exhibition games. This will be their first game in the United States as the Mavericks were playing in Europe. The recently lost to Regal FC Barcelona 99-85, but they defeated Alba Berlin 89-84.
They will go against the Rockets who made probably the biggest acquisition in the offseason, second the Los Angeles Lakers, as they landed the heavily popular Jeremy Lin.
So far, however, Lin has struggled in the preseason. Most visibily last night going 1-10 from the floor with four points and one assist against the San Antonio Spurs.
In 22.7 minutes averaged in their three preseason games, Lin is averaging 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds.
Should Lin fans worry?
We don't think so since it's a new system for the point guard. Everybody just has to be patient.
Could Lin be feeling the pressure?
Maybe. If anything should make him feel better it's that rookies Jeremy Lamb and Terrence Jones are making contributions on offense as both are averaging just over 11 points a game each.
For the Mavericks, they are without Jason Terry, but Dirk Nowitzki is still their man and additions of Chris Kaman and Darren Collison should keep the Mavericks in the mix.
