NFL Preseason Preview: New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals, Can NY Offensive Line Stay Healthy? Can Cincy Defense Step Up?

1. How will the Giants offensive line look?

The Giant's line has been battered by injuries so the backups that are currently starting could potentially find themselves starting during week 1. Can the Giants protect Eli Manning and Ryan Nassib long enough to make plays with their speedy wide receivers?

2. How will the Bengals offense perform?

The Bengal's offense even when fully healthy has been very inconsistent. The best part of their offense last season was their running game which will look to pick up right where it left off, this time with Jeremy Hill as the starter. The fight for the number 2 wide receiver position between Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones will intensify as AJ Green should only see 1 or 2 series before he sits.

3. How will the returning Odell Beckham play?

Odell Beckham will need to stay healthy this season however he already tweaked his hamstring in training camp. He is scheduled to play however how much is currently unknown at this time. Beckham will likely have a few series with the 1's. Beckham needs to remain healthy all season for the Giants to have a shot at a division title.

4. How will the Giants defensive line look without JPP?

Can some depth replace JPP's production, probably not but it will be interesting to see who will become the next big star of the Giant's defensive line. JPP is out until his hand his healed and his timeframe for recovery is currently unknown because he is not at training camp.  Owamagbe Odighizuwa will likely receive JPP's reps and it will be interesting to see how the rookie defensive end responds to the uptick in playing time.

5. Can the Bengals defense play better?

The Bengal's will need to generate pressure in order to solidify themselves as a legitimate playoff team. With Vontaze Burfict on the PUP list this just means free agent signees like AJ Hawk, Pat Sims, and Michael Johnson will have to play a lot better than last season's defensive reserves.
