5 things to watch for....
1. Can the Eagles continue to dominate teams in preseason with their up tempo offense?
The Eagles have been playing extremely fast early in the season but will that translate to playing well during the regular season? Chip Kelly is known for his unorthodox offensive style now he will have to prove it works. The preseason is often about showing off a team's depth not about winning so it is no shock that the Eagles second team destroyed the Colts already injury riddled defense. The question to ask now is was it because the Colts have a bad defense or is it because the Eagle's offensive is that good? Each week brings us a step closer to the answer.
2. Will the Ravens finally get to see Breshad Perriman on the field?
Perriman has been largely absent for most of his time with the Ravens. The 1st round pick has yet to fully practice in preseason due to a knee issue. The Ravens sent him to get an MRI and it came back negative. He still has swelling in his knee and is slated to join the preseason festivities in a couple of days. So how will Perriman look, Raven's fans wait with bated breath.
3. Will DeMarco Murray or Sam Bradford play a single snap?
Murray has been held out of just about everything the Eagles have been doing for the past week. Chip Kelly is actually concerned with how many carries and how much time this running back spends on the field. Kelly is aware that his production is going to dip and that his body may be injury prone. This precaution should keep Murray healthy but for how long? Bradford was a solid scratch after being supposedly ready for NFL action. It could be that Bradford's mobility will never be the same, or it could be a similar thought process relating to Murray, either way it will be interesting to see what they can do.
4. Who will the Eagles backup quarterback be?
Tim Tebow had an impressive outing during the last Eagles preseason game, the only quarterback who looked pretty bad was Mark Sanchez. The Eagles are going to have to cut one of their quarterbacks before the preseason is over. If Tebow has another good game will this give Chip Kelly cause for cutting either Sanchez or Matt Barkley?
5. Who will stand out from the Raven's receiving core?
The Ravens receiving core has Steve Smith as its main star however with Smith retiring will the Ravens find some of their next big targets in the offseason or are they already on the team? Kamar Aiken and Michael Campanaro have shown a ton of promise and continue to produce while Perriman is not on the field. Look for these two to round out the starting wide receivers for the Ravens this season.
