The Green Bay Packers have suffered the worst injury their offense has seen in quite a few seasons. Star wide receiver Jordy Nelson is believed to have suffered a torn ACL.
He went down as he made a cut in the middle of his route. The non-contact injury resulted in Nelson immediately being helped from the field, eventually walking off under his own power. The Packers are still awaiting the results from an MRI that Nelson had shortly after he was injured.
Nelson is by far the best wide receiver on the Packer's roster so if he is lost for the season this could create a vacuum that one of the Packer's younger wide receivers would need to fill. If Nelson indeed has a torn ACL this could be potentially devastating for the Packer's offense.
Wide receivers Ty Montgomery, Davante Adams, and Jeff Janis should fill in for Nelson during his time on the shelf. Janis was the first receiver he took a shot a replacing the star wide receiver.
Sophomore wide receiver Davante Adams could also play a huge role in replacing some of Nelson's production during the season. If Nelson is lost for the season this could be one of the biggest injuries an NFL team has suffered this offseason.
