Arsenal vs Norwich City: Wenger Believes Gunners' 'Moment of Truth' Begins at Carrow Road

After passing through a tough set of fixtures, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to build on the momentum as the Gunners look to reduce the gap to English Premier League leaders Chelsea.

The first task will be to get all three points away at Norwich. "In October the moment of truth starts for the team," Wenger told the club's official website. "The league establishes itself a little bit and the Champions League goes to decisive moments.

"Therefore of course, it's important to be decisive and convincing.

"The target is always the same (after an international break). When they come back, we want to quickly focus on our own targets again and get the team back mentally on our next game.

"I believe that we'll work and the team, after our last performance at West Ham, will want to continue the good run and focus well."

Wenger said playing away generally suited Arsenal's style of play. "The games are a bit more open and because we have a positive attitude away from home," he said.

"Sometimes we take more advantage of our chances (on the road). I'm very happy with the behaviour of the team, (be it) away from home or at home.

"Maybe (we've) played with less freedom at home -- with a bit more pressure. Let's do well at Norwich, and I think that will put the team in a better position at home as well."

Wenger believes the 3-1 win over West Ham in the London Derby that preceded the international break was crucial. "Because we lost against Chelsea, of course it was important (to win)," he added. "When you go to West Ham, it's a difficult place.

"We played against a good side. I was impressed by the quality of their game against QPR.

"We knew that was an important moment of the season for us and we dealt well with the situation in a very positive way.

"We were faithful to our game and overall it was a convincing win, even if there were some turning points during the game (which) went a little bit for us."
