NFC North rivalry will be rekindled during Monday Night Football as the Detroit Lions travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The Lions (2-3) began their season as one of the favorites to contend for the Super Bowl, but after winning their opening game against the St. Louis Rams, they've lived less to expectations losing three straight contests.
Quarterback Mathew Stafford has struggled this season, having yet to have a multiple touchdown passing game. Stafford, this season, has more interceptions (five) than passing touchdowns (four).
The Bears (4-1) meanwhile, have looked very strong this year and are possible to make a deep run in the postseason.
Their defense, led by Brian Urlacher, has ranked first in rush defense and 13th against the pass.
The offense, led by quarterback Jay Cutler, has been productive, scoring 41 points twice and the 23-point mark in two other games. . In his last two games, Cutler threw for 275+ yards and a pair of touchdowns in each.
The last time the Bears faced the Lions, the Bears put points on the board with all three phases with a Devin Hester 82-yard punt return, two defensive touchdowns (six takeaways) and offense.
