Manchester United News and Rumors: David De Gea Move To Real Madrid For Keylor Navas Off After Transfer Paperwork Late

Manchester United and Real Madrid were working out a deal for keeper David De Gea, but reports say the paperwork was not completed in time and now the deal that would have included Keylor Navas could be off.

De Gea has been speculated to move to Real all summer and a deal appeared to be all but done just as the deadline was coming up. According to BBC Sport, De Gea was set to move on a £29 million deal and the "paperwork was not submitted in time" and that could mean the deal is off. Man United was reportedly set to get Navas as part of the deal and the BBC writes that there is "no precedent" for Spanish teams getting extra time for completing a deal. The BBC writes that blame was first put on Man United for not getting the paperwork in time.

UPDATE: The Guardian reports that De Gea will stay at Man United after Real Madrid has ruled out making an appeal. De Gea has one year left on his contract and La Liga has said that the paperwork did not come in on time.
