Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor Fantasy Starters, Matt Barkley Trade If Tim Tebow Backup For Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez?

The Philadelphia Eagles have some major roster decisions to make coming up, as Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley have been competing for the third string quarterback job behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez, while Kenjon Barner could push onto the roster after a strong preseason. The team also has Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews and Riley Cooper as the top fantasy starter options at wide receiver this season for Chip Kelly.

The Eagles have had a ton of attention this offseason with the moves they have made and that includes the trade for Sam Bradford. Many questioned the move by Chip Kelly since Bradford has had multiple knee surgeries, but so far the results have been very solid. Bradford has looked strong in training camp and he has played well in the preseason. Bradford completed all 10 of his pass attempts in the preseason game against the Packers and he has been very efficient in the short amount of time he has played.

Kelly has some more roster decisions to make after the first wave of cuts, as Matt Barkley, Tim Tebow and Kenjon Barner have chances to make the team. The battle between Tebow and Barkley has been going on since Tebow was signed and that has pushed Barkley onto the trade block. The Eagles have not been able to find a deal yet, but if the team can trade Barkley, they likely will, according to Dianna Marie Russini at ESPN.

Russini reports that Kelly is "increasingly excited" about having Tebow and that the team likely will keep him as long as he has no "major errors" in the rest of the preseason. Kelly has been praising Tebow and with the way he likes to run his offensive scheme, Kelly can use Tebow in different situations, while Barkley is mostly a standard backup. Barkley has been solid this preseason, but it may not be enough to keep the third string job.

Kenjon Barner is "making a push" to make the roster, according to CSN Philly. Kelly was quoted as saying that about Barner, who played for Kelly at Oregon. Barner has contributed on special teams with two punt returns and he could be a fourth back behind DeMarco Murray, Darren Sproles and Ryan Mathews if he makes the team. Nelson Agholor is likely joining Jordan Matthews in the starting lineup for Bradford and those two are the best fantasy WR options for the team.

Bradford has not been in an NFL regular season game since back in 2013 and now he is hoping to stay healthy through the season. Bradford missed all of 2014 after tearing his ACL in the preseason and that came after he went down in 2013 after playing seven games. Bradford was off to the best start of his career with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions in those games and now he looks healthy and said that his knee has not bothered him this summer.
