Monday Night Football Results: Bears Win, Shut Down Megatron and Stafford

The Chicago Bears defeated the Detriot Lion 13-7 in a tight NFC North game in Week 7's Monday Night Football battle. By the score, you can tell this game was all about defense and the Bears have Charles Tillmann to thank for after an excellent defense performance.

Tillmann finished the game with seven tackles, two fumbles and though it does not show up directly in the stats, he broke up a play in the end zone, keeping the Lions off the board.

The pass was to Calvin Johnson and the Lions were at the Bears' one-yard line. Matt Stafford threw it up and Tillman stuck his hands on the ball after Johnson had possession, breaking up the pass.

It would have been 13-7 with less than 5:30 left in the third quarter.

This play became huge especially since the Lions eventually scored as time was winding down in the fourth quarter.

Jay Cutler gets props for doing just enough. Just enough meaning Cutler threw for 150 yards and a touchdown in this game. You can say the reason why the Bears scored these field goals was because they had great field positioning off the turnovers.

The Bears forced six fumbles in this game, recovered three and D.J. Moore even grabbed an interception.

With the victory, the Bears are 5-1 sitting in first place of the NFC North. For the Lions, things just got pretty ugly. The Green Bay Packers are on fire. The Minnesota Vikings' defense is ruthless and the Bears are on a four-game winning streak.

The Bears will host the Carolina Panthers and the Lions get the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 8.
