Nobody imagined that Bate Borisov would be a strong contender in Group F, but they continue their remarkable bid to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League as they take on Valencia in Minsk at 2:45 p.m. ET.
In their opening two games they beat Lille 3-1 in France and followed that up by recording the same margin of victory against Bayern Munich at home, and currently sit top of their group.
Bate coach Victor Goncharenko confirmed in his UEFA Champions League press conference that "everybody is fit for the game, so I have 21 outfield players ready and that is definitely some headache".
Meanwhile, Valencia scraped a fiercely-fought 3-2 win over Athletic Bilbao over the weekend, but still had the opportunity to give some key players some time off, with Ever Banega only making a substitute appearance.
Valencia manager Mauricio Pellegrino had this to say about the match against Bate:
"We are looking at a very important game. It will be very demanding for my players as BATE are a very balanced team with some interesting players. If we win, we will have another important game. If it is a draw the next game will be even more important, but if we lose we will have a crucial game next. We will try to have more of the ball, but it is more important to play effectively and I hope we will succeed in doing that."
