Patriots Rumors: Tom Brady Makes Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson Fantasy Sleepers After Brandon LaFell Injury as James White, Dion Lewis Replace LeGarrette Blount

The New England Patriots might have Tom Brady back under center as they prepare to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, but that does not mean the team is a guarantee to win. The Patriots still have some question marks on the roster as their cornerback depth is an issue along with injuries to offensive playmakers. With players like Julian Edelman coming back from an injury and LeGarrette Blount suspended for Week 1, who will be Brady's go-to guys?

Blount will be serving a one game suspension following his violation of the league's substance abuse policy. With Jonas Gray released during roster cuts, there is a question mark at the position against the Steelers. There is no doubting Blount will be the workhorse for the Patriots upon his return as he could be a breakout star this season without Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen to split carries with. However, who will be backing him up especially against Pittsburgh?

White is the expected starter for Week 1 after he put forth an impressive preseason performance. Behind him is Brandon Bolden who is coming off an injury and Dion Lewis who is a projected potential star for the Patriots. Lewis is expected to see playing time on Thursday night given the lack of depth and definitive starter for the Patriots and some believe he is not a bad option to pick up on waivers for Week 1.

The Patriots are hopeful they have enough players to get the job done for Brady. Edelman is expected to be healthy, but Brandon LaFell is a long shot. He is still nursing a foot injury and is on the PUP list to begin the year. That is paired with the injury to Brandon Gibson meaning Danny Amendola is the healthiest player on the roster right now. A name to watch could be Aaron Dobson who made the final roster and had a big game against the Steelers last season. He could be the main down-field threat with LaFell injured.

The Patriots will also rely on a two tight-end system that could help Brady. Rob Gronkowski is the safety blanket while Scott Chandler had a strong preseason and could be a solid option as well. That could give the Patriots some matchup problems and open up the playbook at little more for Brady.
