If you can't wait until the November 1st season opener between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks, tune into today's preseason basketball at 7:30 p.m. ET.
This will be the final preseason game for the Knicks and they'll be without a few rotation regulars.
Marcus Camby (calf) and J.R. Smith (Achilles) will sit out the Knicks' preseason finale against the Nets in Long Island on Wednesday. Rasheed Wallace (conditioning) also will miss the Knicks' sixth and final preseason contest.
Knicks coach Mike Woodson announced on Tuesday that Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd will all be expected to play, but their minutes will be limited as the countdown toward the start of the 2012-13 season is officially underway.
"We're going to have seven days to get ready for our opener in Brooklyn," Woodson said following Tuesday's practice in Greenburgh. "There's still a lot of things that got to be thrown at these guys in between those seven days so we'd kind of like to have some healthy bodies out there on the floor, ready to go."
The Knicks will also be without power forward Amar'e Stoudemire who is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks with a knee injury.
With the season opener just seven days away, Woodson can't commit to an opening night starting lineup because he isn't sure which players will be in uniform.
