The Miami Heat continue their preseason as they set to face the Washington Wizards at 8:30 p.m. ET in Kansas City.
The Heat are 4-2 this preseason, with three straight wins over the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Bobcats.
Miami comes into the game fresh off a 98-92 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.
Chris Bosh led the way for the defending champs, finishing with 21 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes. Fellow Big Three member LeBron James added 10 points and eight assists.
Heat shooting guard Dwayne Wade sat out after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in July. Although Wade has almost made a full recovery, coach Erik Spoelstra continues to treat Wade's injury with caution with the season around the corner.
The Heat will expect the return of forward Udonis Haslem, who's been sidelined with a quad injury, and has yet to appear in a preseason game.
Washington enter the game coming off a 102-94 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, thus giving them a 2-4 record for the preseason.
Against the Bucks, Trevor Booker starred for the Wizards, scoring 22 points and adding seven rebounds in 22 minutes of play. It was the second consecutive game in which Booker led the team in scoring.
The Wizards also got a strong performance from A.J. Price (17 points and 11 assists), who is battling Shelvin Mack for starting point guard duties until John Wall returns from his knee injury which will keep him out the first month of the season.
