Dinamo Zagreb vs PSG Results: Ibrahimovic, Menez Score as Ancelotti Looks to Take Team Past Group Stages

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored yet again for Paris St Germain as the French side's newly-found talisman came to the fore in a 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League Wednesday.

Joining Ibrahimovic on the scoresheet was French international Jeremy Menez with PSG taking second spot in Group A garnering six points -- three behind leaders Porto, who beat Dynamo Kyiv 3-2.

"We are very satisfied," PSG manager Carlo Anceloti said of the crucial away win. "We had a good attitude and controlled the game. It was not beautiful, but it was a good match. This is a good result and a good performance.

"We could have scored more, and when you can get more goals, you should. Ibra did not score more than one, but his goal was important. He was less accurate than usual in front of goal.

"After a poor performance against Marseille, (Javier) Pastore played well. He played simply and with continuity. Menez was very happy with his pass and his goal. I always demand more of him, because he has extraordinary ability. I hope he will play even better.

"Our position in the group is good. There are three matches left, and we have the chance at home (against Zagreb) to move on to nine points, which would be good before we play against Dynamo and Porto. It does not put you in the next round, but I think that with ten points you can qualify."

Dinamo Zagreb manager Ante Cacic admitted his side had lost to the better team on the day. "Victory went to the better team," he said. "Paris Saint-Germain showed why they are (one of the) favorites.

"They are the most expensive team in the history of French football and there's an obvious difference between their side and ours. I said before the match and the competition that there is a big difference between the Croatian and French league and the two teams.

"PSG have a lot of very experienced, quality players, who have had good careers -- our team is still developing and without much experience. Merely playing in the Champions League group stage is a big success for us, even though that sounds like a cliché.

"For us it's very important to gain some know-how from match to match."
