In a Sports Illustrated poll that called for 180 NFL players to identify who they felt was their most overrated peer, the New York Jets' Tim Tebow topped the list of names.
Just five months after being named one of the top 100 players in the NFL, Tebow has been named the league's most overrated player in a landslide vote.
Jets starter Mark Sanchez finished tied for second receiving 8 percent of the votes. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo also got 8 percent.
Coach Rex Ryan was asked about the poll, and it left him uncharacteristically speechless.
"Wow, what are you going to say?" he said, laughing. "I don't know how to comment on that. I just know I'm happy they're on my football team -- on our football team. Seems like the Jets always get something, you know?"
With the trade deadline in less than a week, Tebow's name has been thrown around as one of the big names that can be dealt before Tuesday.
However, owner Woody Johnson and the rest of the organization have remain stedfast in their assertion that the most popular backup quarterback in the NFL will not be traded.
As of this time, it appears as though Tebow will remain in New York as a member of the Jets.
