Dallas Cowboys Rumors and News: Team Signing a New Wide Receiver After Dez Bryant Injury?

The Dallas Cowboys are slated to add a new veteran wide receiver to add some depth to their receiving corps. Dez Bryant broke a bone in his right foot which will require him to be out for at least 6 weeks, which puts the Cowboys at an awkward position. They need to sign a wide receiver to add some depth. So which one of these free agents could the Cowboys add in order to help their team the most?

Hakeem Nicks: Nicks is actually the perfect option, a former first round pick and New York Giant; he could become the best reclamation project the Cowboys have to date. In 2010 and 2011 Nicks had back to back 1,000 yard seasons and is still only 27 years old. If there was not any added incentive to beat the Cowboys from the Giants end of the spectrum a Nicks signing would only put them further into the Gmens crosshairs. But a redemption game for Nicks against the Giants at home would be pretty spectacular.  It should be noted Nicks was cut from the Titans this year.

Terrelle Pryor: Pryor was basically on the Browns until they needed to sign Robert Turbin. Sure Pryor is not your typical wide receiver however he is a great athlete and overall player. Pryor may not be exactly what the Cowboys are looking for but he could be the most talented wide receiver left on the market.

Wes Welker: Welker may be out of football for now but if the Cowboys are disinterested in all the other guys out there Welker could provide a cheap alternative to what could end up being an expensive problem for the Cowboys. Welker has had concussion issues in the past but if he gets medically cleared by team doctors he could be an option.
