Seattle Seahawks Rumors: Kam Chancellor Holdout Continues, Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson Fantasy Starters For Russell Wilson, Terrelle Pryor Signing Option?

The Seattle Seahawks still have Kam Chancellor off the field with a holdout and there is not a clear end in sight for the safety and his contract dispute. The Seahawks have a tough game against the Packers this week and players like Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Doug Baldwin and Russell Wilson are the best fantasy football start options.

Chancellor has been looking to get more money moved up in his contract or a new deal from the Seahawks since this summer, but the team has not budged. According to the Seattle Times, "nothing" has changed from the side of the Seahawks and the two sides are not close to getting a deal done. Head coach Pete Carroll said to the Times that Chancellor is a "big part" of the team and that things will not change in the lineup after the team lost to the Rams on Sunday.

Dion Lewis stepped in for Chancellor and had a couple tough plays, including on a late touchdown that helped send the game into overtime for the Rams. Carroll said that the loss would not have any effect on contract talks with Chancellor and that the status between the sides remains the same. Chancellor now is pushing into Week 2 of the season and he has not shown any signs of giving in when it comes to getting his deal re-done.

The Seahawks have the Packers on Sunday night and players like Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson and Jimmy Graham are worth starting for fantasy owners. The Packers are a strong team, but these matchups always seem to be exciting between GB and Seattle and that could mean some points. Graham is a great redzone threat and both Lynch and Jackson could get solid work in the game.

The Seahawks are reportedly going to work out Terrelle Pryor following his release from the Browns, according to Rand Getlin at the NFL Network. Getlin reported earlier in the week that Pryor was going to work out with the Jets and he will come to Seattle after that workout. Pryor was with the Seahawks for a short stretch after a trade, but he ended up with the Browns later and he was released ahead of the season. The Jets could sign Pryor as a WR depth option and emergency quarterback with Geno Smith still coming back from his jaw injury.

Chancellor is a huge part of the defensive secondary and he is considered to be one of the leaders on the field for the team. Chancellor had 78 tackles last season and 99 total the year before and over the past two years he has picked off four passes. Chancellor is one of the best safeties in the league and he may have signed his deal just a bit too early, as other players now make more money than he does and he likely considers them lesser players. Chancellor will miss the game against the Packers if he continues to hold out.
