Indianapolis Colts Rumors: Dwayne Allen Out Week 3 Fantasy? Andrew Luck Ready For 0-2 Rebound, Josh Thomas Signed, Vontae Davis Concussion

The Indianapolis Colts have started the season 0-2 and quarterback Andrew Luck said that the team is ready to rebound after losing to the Jets and Bills. Dwayne Allen is not practicing Wednesday and could miss Week 3 for fantasy owners, while the Colts have signed Josh Thomas to help their banged up secondary after Vontae Davis suffered a concussion.

The Colts were beaten soundly by the Bills in Week 1 and on Monday night football the team could not get anything going against the Jets. Andrew Luck had three interceptions and the Jets defense was strong, holding the Colts to just seven points. The Colts offense was one of the best in the league last season and so far they have only scored 21 points and have not been able to get in a rhythm. The defensive play has not helped either and the secondary has been hit hard by injuries.

The Colts were down Greg Toler and Darius Butler on Monday night football and the team also lost Vontae Davis, who had to leave the game early. Pro Football Talk reports that Davis suffered a concussion in the game and that could leave the Colts down another player. The team took an active approach to that and PFT reports that the Colts added Josh Thomas on a deal and waived Eric Patterson to make room.

According to NFL.com, Allen is dealing with an ankle injury and he is not practicing on Wednesday for the Colts. Allen is a key player for the offense and the Colts will need him back soon to help get out of this 0-2 hole. Allen only has three catches this season with one TD in two games.

Thomas comes in after playing with the Panthers early in his career and then bouncing around to other teams last season, including the Seahawks and the Lions. Thomas can help give some depth at the position and that is sorely needed with all the injuries. The team also made another move, releasing Vick Ballard from the IR after coming to an injury settlement. The Colts need to find a way to get things going and they will have a divisional game against the Titans on the road next.

Luck has started the season off with some inconsistent play and he has five interceptions and three touchdowns in the first two games. Luck threw for 4761 yards and 40 touchdowns last season while completing over 60 percent of his passes, but this season he is completing less than 55 percent of his throws. Luck will turn things around, but the Colts have high expectations for this season and an 0-2 start was not the way they envisioned opening things.

The Colts signed Frank Gore and Andre Johnson in the offseason and also added Phillip Dorsett in the draft, but those additions have not had a major impact yet. TY Hilton signed a contract extension in the offseason and Donte Moncrief has emerged as a very solid number two option for Luck. The team will be looking to avoid going 0-3 against the Titans and rookie Marcus Mariota.
