Denver Broncos Rumors: Ronnie Hillman Starter After CJ Anderson Injury? Peyton Manning Denies Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders Issues with Virgil Green Help

The Denver Broncos want to run the ball. With Gary Kubiak in as the head coach, the plan has always been to put the ground game first and help take pressure of Peyton Manning this season. However, through two games that has not worked out as CJ Anderson is struggling behind the offensive line. The Broncos are 2-0 and certainly doing something right, but if they intend to remain successful they must run the ball.

Anderson is at risk of losing his starting job and knows it. Through two games the running back has just 56 yards and no touchdowns. Anderson had a lot of preseason hype around him as many predicted he would be a star for the team. However, with that not turning out to be the case, Anderson is making it clear that he does not want to hear the criticism especially when it is in regards to fantasy football.

"I don't go to other people's jobs and tell them: 'Hey, you suck. You're trash,'" said Anderson, via the Denver Post. "I laugh. I just black it out and laugh. I guess that's kind of the ups and downs of being a top-10 pick and who they expect you to be. I just always say: 'Don't bet on sports. You never know what's going to happen.' That's just my personal opinion, but I couldn't care less about fantasy."

Heading into Week 3, there is a chance that Ronnie Hillman gets the nod in order to try and spark the offense. Anderson has been dealing with a toe injury and  Kubiak told the media that he likes what Hillman brings to the offense and he needs to have the ball in his hands more. Many blame the struggles of the ground game on the offensive line and the fact that Peyton Manning has not been taking snaps from the shot gun exclusively. Kubiak told the media that they team simply needs to be more aggressive at the line in order to get the big plays made.

"That's too many (times) where the line of scrimmage is ugly, nothing going on," Kubiak said, via CBSSports.com. "We studied the heck out of it through the weekend and obviously have to do some things to make it better. You've got to get your guys space and sometimes they've got to create their own space, too. I think it's a combination of a lot of things. But it's just about consistency right now, being better at everything we're doing."

Manning is laughing at all of the criticism surrounding the undefeated team. Doubt is pouring in regarding the passing game and the health of the quarterback. Manning is not concerned about what other people say, knowing that the results are on the scoreboard.
