The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Clemson Tigers are playing live on the NCAA college football schedule on Saturday night and the game has major implications for the season. The game is on ABC and will be streaming online from ESPN as the number six Irish take on number 12 Clemson and both teams will be looking to get the victory at Memorial Stadium.
The Irish will be playing without Malik Zaire and running back Tarean Folston and that makes Brian Kelly's job a bit harder on Saturday night. DeShone Kizer will be playing QB and the Irish may have found a running back that is even better with C.J. Prosise and he has been off to a strong start this season. Clemson is looking to take charge in the ACC and this would be a big win for the team.
The way things have been going for both teams, this will have a major impact on the college football playoff and whoever loses this may be on the outside looking in. Kizer will be playing in one of the most hostile environments in the nation and he will have to find a way to keep things going. The Notre Dame defense has been strong and they will be looking to keep that going.
Notre Dame comes in after winning against UMass big with 62 points and they won over Georgia Tech when they were ranked along with Virginia and Texas. The team has been impressive to start the season and coming up next they have Navy and then a game against USC. The Trojans game is always tough, but the team will be playing it at home. The team has Temple, Pitt and then Wake before finishing with Boston College and Stanford.
Clemson is 2-0 at home this season and they come in with Georgia Tech next on the schedule along with Boston College, Miami and NC State. The team then has the huge matchup with Florida State and then against Syracuse, Wake and South Carolina. The rain is expected to make an impact and things have started already, but things are expected to pick up in the second half.
