Real Madrid Transfer News: Kaka Insists He Never Considered Leaving Real in the Summer

Real Madrid playmaker Kaka insists he never considered leaving the Spanish champions this summer, despite being constantly linked with a move away.

Kaka has failed to find the form which made him the world player of the year during his time with AC Milan -- injuries, particularly, hampering his career in Madrid.

After Jose Mourinho's appointment, Kaka has not always been the first name on the teamsheet, with first team appearances pretty hard to come by. Mourinho had admitted the Brazilian was available for transfer in the summer, but Real failed to find a suitable offer for the 30-year-old, which meant he would stay with Real at least until January.

Kaka found his feet this season, however, during a friendly tribute game for Alfredo Di Stefano in September, where he scored a hat-trick. The form shown in the match, albeit a friendly, prompted Mourinho to have a look at the Brazilian more, and slowly but surely, the talented playmaker has become a regular member of the manager's squad this season.

Kaka reiterated his desire to see out his contract, which still has nearly three years to run. "Even when there was lots of talk in the summer I did not think about leaving because I was sure I could bring a lot to Real Madrid," Kaka told Estadao.

"I still have three years left on this contract and I think I can contribute. I want to continue at Real Madrid, earn a place in the team and win titles."

The Brazilian has also found form for his country, scoring in two friendlies earlier this month after earning a call-up for the first time since the 2010 World Cup. The chance of playing in Brazil's home World Cup in 2014, is something that really drives Kaka.

"I think those games I had with the Selecao were very good for me," he added. "They made it clear that I am in good shape, playing well and it was important for me personally.

"This season has been a reaffirmation for me and the recent games have given me confidence."

Kaka added if he were to sign for another club, it would most likely be his home town team Sao Paulo. "I am not going to Brazil in the short term but if I returned my priority would of course be Sao Paulo," he said.

Meanwhile, Kaka scored a goal in Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Alcoyano in the first leg of their Copa Del Rey encounter at the El Collao Stadium. Karim Benzema netted a brace with Jose Rodriguez scoring the other.
